Why should I study web design and development?

I remember that when I graduated from elementary school in the summer vacation, I took the first computer interest class in my life. At that time, it was still the win 95 operating system, and the main courses were still based on the DOS operating system and the simple window operation of win 95. . So since then I have laid the foundation of computer applications. Time has changed, and in a blink of an eye I became a high school English teacher. For several years in my professional career, I have always been a teacher who likes to use a computer for class, and even likes to use a computer to type instead of writing on the blackboard. An English teacher who likes to use computers the most.
My own online class learning experience has taught me how important it is to build a personal website: it is always unstable for my teacher to teach online when using a third-party platform, and sometimes there are irresistible factors of the third party that lead to his lectures interrupted. Since his company established their own website , the quality of each student’s class has been guaranteed.
After China’s “double reduction” policy in 2021, many English teachers in training institutions are unemployed. Because I am a high school English teacher in a private school, in order to prepare for possible changes in the future. So I wanted to create a personal teaching website to increase my income and start my second career: online teaching. Before 2016, I had already started online teaching and brought myself certain economic benefits. I also had my own teaching content on the largest domestic platform Bilibili, tiktok, little red book, and WeChat video accounts. I planned to return to China after graduation in Canada to build my own website in the future.
I have started to learn the basic courses of web front-end development HTML, CSS, and javascript on the Internet, so as to lay a certain foundation for enrolling in May next year.Why not study related skill in China?
As we all know, this year is an era of AI explosion, and American countries have always been far ahead in this area. Going abroad to study computer technology must be the best choice. When chatGPT and other companies’ AI are in fierce competition. At that time, we can only wait and watch, because we cannot use these AI tools in China.
As an English teacher and an English user (my IELTS score: 7), studying abroad can not only allow me to learn cutting-edge professional skills in web production, but also allow me to improve my English ability in a pure English environment. Spending the same amount of time pays off twice, so I must go abroad to learn this skill.Why study in Canada?

my parents are about 65 years old and need me to take care of them;
